I will not have much time to blog this week, but I wanted to share this great post from Thom Rainer. It’s called When Theology Meets Evangelism. Check it out!

Friday Find: Stuff Christian Culture Likes
I recently came across a blog called Stuff Christian Culture Likes. Please take it with a grain of salt. It is designed to poke fun at the Christian Culture and the things that we elevate to ridiculous levels.
As I sat in church this past week, a few came to mind:
– Christian’s like Apple. It is hip to talk smack about PCs and to promote the latest iGadget.
– Christian men like sandals. Perhaps it’s a throwback to Bible times. Sandals probably looked ok with long robes, but please sir, ditch the mandals with khakis at church.
Check out the Stuff Christian Culture Likes blog for a little humor about the things that Christian’s like but have nothing to do with being a follower of Jesus.
Friday Find: Reach Records
Will you understand that Christ is King? Or will you just like the words we sing after the music stops.
It’s a line from a song. But not just another Christian song. It’s a song from LeCrae.
Now I’ve heard of Lecrae on a couple of occasions and listened to his songs a few times. But something really hit me this time I looked up the Reach Records website. I was convicted when I listened to the music. And I liked it. Both.
Even if rap is not your style of choice, please take a moment to see what is happening over at Reach Records. It is music packed out with convicting lyrics, theology, and talent.
Friday Find: Never Thirst Again
My Friday Find for this week is the sermon by John Piper, Never Thirst Again. Here is a video clip of this great message.

For Today…
Outside my window… night is falling (writing this Sunday evening).
I am thinking… what a busy week I have ahead of me.
From the learning rooms… teaching a bunch of girls a bunch of fun dances this week at camp.
I am thankful for… my Heavenly Father.
From the kitchen… fresh blueberries- a gift from a sweet friend.
I am wearing… this very different skirt with turtles on it. I’ve had if for a year and finally felt in the mood to wear it.
I am reading… Deuteronomy.
I am hoping… to have a week even better than last week filled with reminders of my Gracious God.
I am creating.. art projects for this week’s camp.
I am praying… for more grace and opportunities to share the Gospel.
Around the house… I accomplished nearly everything on my to-do list today!
One of my favorite things… an organized room, John Piper’s sermon playing…
Have a blessed Monday!

Boundless Line: I’m Here
Boundless Line has started a great section called I’m Here featuring pictures submitted by readers and a little blurb about them. I submitted a picture a few weeks ago, and much to my excitement, they published it today! Thanks, Boundless Line!

My Pink Media
There is much going around the online Christian circle right now about Twitter. The biggest news is that John Piper has started tweeting. This news is probably the highlight of my week. That either speaks volumes for John Piper or very little for my life.
Now here are a few worthwhile Twitter posts to read:
- Why and How I am Tweeting– John Piper
: “‘All things were created through Christ and for Christ’ (Colossians 1:16). The world does not know it, but that is why Twitter exists and that’s why I Tweet.”
- Should We Twitter During Church– Josh Harris: “God is speaking again through his word, we should all be silent–and so should our Twitter feeds.”
- More on Not Using Twitter During Worship– John Piper: “There is a difference between communion with God and commenting on communion with God.”
I started tweeting about a month ago. I had a multi-faceted purpose including expanding my online presense from just the blog to using it as a creative outlet to share truth. Most importantly, and as has been stated by the above named authors, Twitter, as with all things, should be used to God’s glory. While I do not think it is necessarily sinful to Tweet about your favorite salad dressing, sometimes online forums provide us with more opportunities to think about ourselves. We make the best use of media when we use it to point to our Savior.
